April/May Updates
- Blog section is up and runing! I have 2 test blog posts on there because it wasn't working, but it should be okay now. Not sure if I want to make the page more pretty or not.
- New Art is up on my Bsky, I've been focusing on some new character designs for my Lament of Innocence project
- Website is coming together, I don't have a timeline on when this will be officially launched. I am hopeing the end of this month. Then once this is up and running I am going to build my professional site as well as start my Youtube channel. So one thing at a time.
Recent Works
Backstory
For years I have been on the interenet dwelling in the pits of social media hell, waiting for the day where I would awaken from the mundane tasks of being a mondern day artist. From my time being a indie manga creator to being a sonic artist then back to creating my comics and finally joining the castlevania community, I have been trying to find my place in this endless sea of being and creating.
Sometime in late 2023, I decided to chart my own path to whatever I want it to be. I grew tired of following a set of rules or being told this is "norm" to breaking into the creative industry. I believe in grit, merit, hardwork and determination. I don't believe in needed to do 20 other things in order to simply find work as a creative person, So I have choosen to leave that path behind me. As a new creative and independent person free from manipulation, I am taking control over my journey. No longer will it be left up to luck or chance or some other bullshit out of my control.
The Work
I have been working on a few projects, including this website of course. As I stated eariler I am in the Castlevania community and I am currently working on a storyboard project. I call this "Lament Of Innocence" and this story is a retelling of the Lament of Innocence Castlevania game with the style of Powerhouse Animation. My goal for this project is to redesign the characters, board a few scenes and potentially animate thoes scenes.
Another Porject I am working on is called "Enter The Void". This is a comic project that I have been working on for sometime now. I took a break from it to work on my character design career and to get better as an artist. I feel that now I am committed to working on this again with my new found skills and determination. With nothing holding me back besides the trials and tribulations of adulting and contract work.
The Now
Now that you guys know a bit about me and what I am working on, what is currently happening? Well I have been constructing this website from the ground up and my plan is to finish this site, get another portfolio website going specifically for professional reasons, restart my youtube channel along side working on my projects.
My goal is to make a living off of my art and do this my way. The beginning of this passage I talked about my feelings about a set of hurdles that we're created and treat this as absolute. I believe I can achive everything that I want to do my way, without the need for certain social media site or acting like a fool just for clicks. I have a view on the industry and I want to create video topics on purely what I see and debate others on this subjects. If we can change each other's persepctives then I believe the industry can change for the better.
